This year Miami Beach will have four (4) beach clean-up sites:

      2. 36th Street - sponsored by the Miami-Dade County Bar Association .
      3. North Shore Open Space Park - sponsored by Carnival Cruise Lines .
      4. South Beach - sponsored by the Team Coast Guard

Site 1: Monument Island

9:00 am to 12:00 noon

Registration begins at 8:30 am. Boats beging departure at 9:15 am.

What

Help ECOMB volunteers, The Mondrian South Beach, Miami-Dade County, the City of Miami Beach Neighborhood Services, Environmental Resources, Public Works, Parks and Police Departments, cleanup the Flagler Monument Island and Morris Gibb Park, Miami Beach.

LET'S KEEP OUR BEACHES CLEAN ... PASS IT ON!!

Where

Meet us at Island View Park, on Purdy Avenue, Miami Beach (just north of the junction of the Venetian Causeway and Miami Beach). There will be two cleanup sites:

 

1) Island View Park itself, and then we will be taken by boat to the second clean-up site,

2) Flagler Memorial Island (or Monument Island).

 

Parking

WILL NOT BE ENFORCED FOR LEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES ON THE PAKING LOT METERS UNTIL 1 pm.

ISLAND VIEW PARK/MONUMENT ISLAND

(Monument Island not shown in map, but is just south of Bell Isle Park)

 

Site 2:  36th Street Beach

9 to 12 noon

What

Help ECOMB  and Miami-Dade County Bar Association volunteers, Miami-Dade County, the City of Miami Beach Neighborhood Services, Environmental Resources, Public Works, Parks and Police Departments, cleanup the beach area between 22nd and 46th Streets, Miami Beach.

LET'S KEEP OUR BEACHES CLEAN ... PASS IT ON!!

Where

Meet us at the entrance to the beach at 36th Street and Collins Ave., Miami Beach.

Parking

WILL NOT BE ENFORCED FOR LEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES ON THE 35th - 36th STREET PAKING LOT METERS UNTIL 12:30 pm.

Site 3: North Shore Open Space Park Beach

9 to 11 am

What

Help ECOMB and Carnival Cruise Lines volunteers, Miami-Dade County, the City of Miami Beach Neighborhood Services, Environmental Resources, Public Works, Parks and Police Departments, cleanup the North Shore Open Space Park Beach from 79th to 86th Streets, Miami Beach.

Where

Meet us at the Park pavillion just south of the 81st Street Park entrance with Collins Avenue.

Parking

WILL NOT BE ENFORCED FOR LEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES ON THE PAKING LOT METERS ACROSS FROM THE PARK ENTRANCE UNTIL 11:30 am.

Site 4: South Beach

9 am to 12 noon

What

Help ECOMB and Coast Guard Active Duty, Reserve and Auxiliary volunteers, Miami-Dade County, the City of Miami Beach Neighborhood Services, Environmental Resources, Public Works, Parks and Police Departments, cleanup the South Beach shoreline from Government Cut to 10th Street, Miami Beach.

LET'S KEEP OUR BEACHES CLEAN ... PASS IT ON!!

Where

Meet us at the end of 5th Street and Ocean Drive, in Lummus Park, near the restroom.

Parking

WILL NOT BE ENFORCED FOR LEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES ON THE PAKING LOT METERS UNTIL 1 pm.

PLEASE, CARPOOL IF YOU CAN, SAVE GAS AND HELP OUR PLANET!

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Age
  • Volunteers 15 years old or younger must present the attached Minor Release Form signed by a parent/guardian and one parent/guardian must be present.
  • Volunteers 16 or 17 years old must only present the attached Minor Release Form signed by a parent/guardian.
  • Volunteers 18 years old or older, please sign the Adult Release Form and bring it along with you.

We

Provide

Water, some snacks, lunch, garbage bags and gloves for the cleanup – and lots of fun!

 

You

Bring

Volunteers should wear a hat, sneakers or "aqua-shoes”, and bring sunscreen and a refillable water bottle. NO BOTTLED WATER IS PROVIDED AT ECOMB'S EVENTS.

 

Community Service Hours

You will receive 8 community service hours for each event.
